The play premiered on the 5th February, 1763, at the Drury Lane Theatre, London. The actors being David Garrick, Frances' husband Thomas Sheridan, William O'Brien, Charles Holland, Mrs. Hannah Pritchard, Mary Ann Yates, and Jane Pope.
